Learn how to take charge of your fitness!  You can get the coaching and training needed to improve strength, speed, agility, mobility, and cardiovascular fitness. 

I am instructor certified in a fitness program called Training for Warriors (TFW) and was trained by the founder, former Olympian Martin Rooney. This system was originally taught to MMA fighters and professional athletes, but now TFW is open to anyone. If this all sounds a little intense, don’t worry. I’ll take you where you are and we’ll come up with the right plan for you.

 

  Here are Dojo Health’s 5 pillars of fitness training:

 

  High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).  In this style of training, a series of exercises is performed at maximum intensity with brief rest in between.  The signature HIIT routine in the Training for Warriors system is called the Hurricane.  Other systems include the Tabata and barbell/dumbbell complexes.  This style of training, along with proper rest, recovery and nutrition, will help you burn fat and build muscle.

  Strength Training.  Learn upper, lower, and total body routines that will help you get leaner and build muscle.  Follow the strength training principles along with rest and recovery protocols for best results.

  Speed and Agility.  Improving speed and agility will help you get fitter, prevent injury, improve coordination, improve flexibility, and build muscle.  Sounds like the definition of fitness!

  Mobility.  I use a combination of dynamic and static flexibility movements that will increase your range of motion.  Mobility can be appropriate pre-workout, post-workout, on rest days…so basically any time!

  Rest and Recovery.  All fitness training must have appropriate amounts of rest and recovery. This is a foundational principle here at Dojo Health.  You can learn evidence-based practices for proper nutrition, stress management, and sleep hygiene.
